MSC awarded GSA IT Schedule
The General Services Administration (GSA) awarded MSC a Schedule 70 contract to provide information technology (IT) professional services to Federal, state, and local government agencies. This contract covers many of MSC's core services such as software development, bioinformatics, and computational biology.

MSC awarded contract to provide bioinformatic computer
programming services
MSC was awarded a contract to support the Bioinformatics and Computational
Biosciences Branch (BCBB) at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious
Diseases (NIAID) as a subcontractor to Lockheed Martin. MSC will provide
bioinformatic computer programming services to BCBB in support of their mission
to provide leadership in the fields of bioinformatics, clinical informatics, and
computational biology. BCBB serves the NIAID research community, as well as
inter-Institute collaborators at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

MSC awarded $111 million IDIQ contract to support NIAID
MSC was awarded a $111 million IDIQ contract to support the Division of
Intramural Research (DIR) and Vaccine Research Center (VRC) at the National
Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). MSC will provide
scientific and technical support services to the NIAID, including
bioinformatics, clinical trials support, SharePoint development, immunology and
infectious diseases research, and lab management.

Victoria Hughes Lawrence named Director of Bio-IT Services
Victoria Hughes Lawrence was named MSC’s Director of Bio-IT Services. Ms. Hughes has over 15 years of experience managing bioinformatics and information technology services. She has worked extensively with the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Prior to joining MSC, Ms. Hughes worked for Lockheed Martin and Management Systems Designers, Inc. (MSD).

Haley E. Esser named President and CEO
Haley E. Esser was named President and CEO of MSC. Ms. Esser has over 20 years experience in the Federal contracting sector. Prior to joining MSC, she was Director of the Health Services and Solutions group at Lockheed Martin (LM) overseeing a $100 million portfolio. Ms. Esser joined LM after serving as Senior Vice President of the Health Information Group at Management Systems Designers, Inc. (MSD). She was as an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Branch Chief before leaving for the private sector in 1997.

MSC awarded contract to support NIAID
MSC was awarded a contract to support the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) as a subcontractor to Lockheed Martin (LM). MSC will provide Program Management services to NIAID’s Bioinformatics and Computational Biosciences Branch (BCBB) in support of a project to develop tools for the analysis of genetic regulatory pathways.

MSC was awarded a contract to support the Office of the Director (OD) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a subcontractor to Lockheed Martin (LM). MSC will provide scientific communications support to the OD’s Office of Biotechnology Activities (OBA).
